Iranian people wash their carpets when doing spring cleaning because they believe when nature renews itself, they must abide by. 

When the first signs of spring appear, Iranian people get engaged in housecleaning rituals with the new season being around the corner.

As Persian carpets are an inseparable decorative feature in any Iranian house, washing and cleaning of these precious household contents are also included in the tradition of spring cleaning.
